Chemist/ Technician – South Wales – Environmental Services - 1 Year Contract We are looking for an experienced chemist to join the field team at a leading environmental services company. You will travel to various industrial sites supporting on testing and maintenance. Working in a customer facing team, you will provide services to a range of clients primarily in the South Wales area and also when needed across the UK. Conduct routine sampling, testing, and monitoring. Execute chemistry tests, analyse results, and prepare clear technical reports and recommendations. Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical dosing and process monitoring equipment. Support new customer implementations and application start-ups alongside the sales team. Manage chemical inventories and coordinate material requirements at customer sites. Investigate system performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare technical documentation, reports, charts, and performance summaries. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Experience in water treatment, process chemistry, utilities, or a similar industrial environment. A knowledge of cooling towers, steam plants, closed systems, chemical feed systems, pre-treatment equipment, and process monitoring would be beneficial. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a field-based role. Full UK driving licence required.
