We are working with a well-established and growing organisation within the healthcare equipment and services sector to recruit a Decontamination & Engineering Supervisor for a key operational site in the South. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor to take ownership of a busy service centre operation, leading teams across decontamination, engineering, and equipment care while driving high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of a service centre, ensuring operational efficiency and effective team performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising decontamination and engineering teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Managing workloads, staffing levels, and resource allocation
- Overseeing servicing, repair, and turnaround of equipment
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and audit standards
- Supporting and developing team members through training and leadership
- Managing administrative processes including reporting, timesheets, and service records
- Maintaining equipment readiness, including rental and demonstration fleets
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong operational background and proven leadership experience in a service, logistics, or engineering environment. You will bring:
- Experience supervising teams in a service centre, warehouse, or similar setting
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of stock control, workflow planning, and operational processes
- A solid understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
- Confidence managing performance, people, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills and experience with reporting systems
- A background in healthcare equipment, decontamination, or infection control would be advantageous, but not essential.
