Your Role
You will join the Innovation Acceleration Team as a Graduate AI Engineer, working with the Senior Innovation Acceleration Engineer and cross‑functional teams. Your focus will be on integrating AI capabilities into our student accommodation and event management platforms, creating prototypes, and implementing AI features that enhance user experience and unlock new value for higher education customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and deployment of AI solutions across our products, including prompt engineering and model performance testing.
- Build proof‑of‑concept prototypes to demonstrate AI value for business challenges.
- Support data collection, cleaning, and preparation for AI systems; analyse performance metrics and user feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and professional services teams to integrate AI components successfully.
- Stay current on AI developments, researching potential applications for our higher education customers.
- Create documentation for AI systems and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives that improve AI literacy across the organisation.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- T‑shaped engineering profile: deep technical expertise in AI orchestration, systems architecture, or a related area, coupled with broad cross‑functional skills.
- Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, data processing, analysis, and visualisation.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts, large language models and AI application patterns.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Learning agility and proactive self‑development.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI/ML offerings, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), SaaS models, and agile workflows is desirable.
