Kinetic Recruitment are looking for a Weekend Driver / Sterile Technician for a Kings Norton (Birmingham) based client. The company are a niche provider of outsourced services, and they have an outstanding reputation in the medical industry.
The successful candidate must be able to start as soon as possible, and be able to work Saturday & Sunday 6am to 2pm and 11am to 7pm rotating . This is a temporary, on-going position.
As a Medical Packer/ Cover Driver, you will be:
* Packing surgical equipment after an intense clean
* Checking products are all present against computerised list of items required
* Working within a sterile environment
* Following procedures
* Ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and sterile thoroughly
* Ensuring that the packing is done exactly to the specifications
* Completing all relevant paperwork
* Driving 3.5 Tonne Vehicle
* Delivering clean trays (in trollies) and collecting dirty trays (in trollies) to the trusts.
Requirements:
* Clean Driving Licence required
* Must be able to work 1st week 06:00am to 14:00pm and 2nd week 11:00am to 19:00pm whilst training
* Full UK Driving licence required
* Hepatitis B vaccinated (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours
* Confidence working within a sterile, medical environment
* The ability to do a repetitive but important job (whilst training)
* Previous experience in sterile environment is advantageous but not essential
* Excellent communication skills
