Our client, based in the Trafford area, is a precision engineering company looking for a TIG Welder on a permanent basis. The role will pay £30,000 per annum (£15.60/hr PAYE), working a 4‑day week Monday to Thursday.
Core duties involve:
- TIG welding
- Other duties may include brazing, soldering, drilling or basic assembly as required.
Benefits:
- Salary of £30k per annum
- Trafford location
- 4‑day working week Monday to Thursday
- Shift times: 06:00–15:45, 06:30–16:15 or 07:00–16:45 (37 hours per week)
Duties:
- TIG welding SS & exotic metals
- Soldering, brazing and other duties as required
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of components and assemblies
- Use inspection equipment to monitor quality of components produced
- Complete paperwork as per the company quality system
- Ensure all products manufactured and assembled meet quality standards
- Flexible working within other manufacturing areas to meet workload demands
Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years working as a TIG welder
- Relevant experience in TIG welding
- Mechanical engineering problem solving skills
- Knowledge of engineering units along with thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings etc. is an advantage
- Must be flexible to move to different areas and do tasks other than welding when needed
