Kinetic plc are currently recruiting for several experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join an established and innovative business based in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a temporary ongoing position for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for the assignment to continue longer A valid, in-date and external recognised Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential. Please note - You must be available to work both morning and afternoon shifts and in-house forklift licences are not suitable for this position. Shift Pattern & Pay - Morning Shift * Monday to Friday * 07:00 until 15:00 * £14.35 per hour Afternoon Shift * Monday to Friday * 15:00 until 23:00 * £14.60 per hour The Role Working within a busy warehouse and logistics environment, you will support the movement, handling and preparation of goods, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - * Operating a counterbalance forklift to load and unload delivery wagons * Picking orders accurately using a handheld scanner * Moving goods and materials between different areas of the warehouse * Preparing, packaging and labelling products for dispatch * Ensuring goods are handled and stored safely * Maintaining accurate picking and stock records where required * Following warehouse procedures and health & safety guidelines * Supporting the wider warehouse team to meet operational deadlines About You - To be considered for this opportunity, you will need - * An in-date external recognised Counterbalance Forklift licence * Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift * Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment * The ability to use a handheld scanner and follow picking instructions * Good attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices * A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach * The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team * Full availability for both shifts within the rotating pattern Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.
