Kinetic Recruitment are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager within production planning, to work in a busy Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company, based within the Runcorn area. Start ASAP Initially 3 months from start, with the possibility of an extension, due to sickness cover. This is an on-site role, but there could be flexibility to work hybrid for the right candidate. Hourly rate: £28.21 per hour. 25 Days Annual Leave (Pro Rata) including UK Bank Holidays.
Purpose of Role: To manage and coordinate on behalf of the Runcorn site, the supply of BFS finished products and to schedule the supply chain activities. To be the point of contact between Global Supply Chain and the site for BFS products. To identify and mitigate risk in the supply chain. To optimise packaging strategy and planning.
Key Results Area:
- Creation, monitoring and expedition of strategy and plans, liaising with all departments, taking into account E2E department capacities, ensuring smooth supply of finished BFS product to customers.
- Liaising directly with markets worldwide on all topics relating to the supply of BFS product.
- Coordinate activities across site to ensure timely manufacture and release of product.
- Ensure Packaging strategy and plans optimise equipment, labour and customer service, including launches.
- Co-ordination of export shipments to customers along with any necessary documentation.
- Maintenance of ERP system planning data for BFS products. Continuous improvement of processes.
- Develop and provide measuring and tracking tools enabling effective monitoring of customer service and inventory performance within the supply chain, to aid senior management decision-making process.
- Prepare draft plans, proposals, and key data to meet deadlines for monthly, quarterly and ad hoc business submissions/reviews.
Areas of Impact Affecting the Job: The BFS Supply Chain Manager will have no direct responsibility for staff or budgets, but will be significantly involved in the preparation of annual work plans for BFS. The functional impact of the job is significant as the plans generated may potentially affect the direction of the Business by impacting on or committing available operational resources, customer service levels, Inventory levels and policies, Commitment to vendors for supply of materials.
Planning, Organising and Controlling: Scheduling on 3 month horizon co-ordination, planning, and controlling of various elements of the BFS Supply Chain is a fundamental role of the position. This will involve liaison with various external and internal suppliers, as well as various Teva sites across the EU, US and Israel.
Contact with Others: To provide information, co-ordinate and mediate between the plans and schedules, and the issues of the departments listed below:
- Market customers - all markets where BFS products are sold
- SLT/ELT Presentation of plans/analysis - Monthly/Ad hoc
- Department Managers - To ensure E2E departmental capacities are up-to-date and accurate.
- Department Managers - Approval & execution of plans - Daily/As needed
- Sales & Marketing Managers Forecasts/customer & market activity - Daily/Monthly/As needed
- MPS’ers/Group Planning/Operations - Schedule adherence/general SAP activity - Daily/As needed
- Customers - Supply/expedition of forecasts/orders - Daily
Decision Making Authority: This role will recommend and implement strategies to mitigate supply risk.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Lean supply chain principles, and MRPII/ERP philosophies
- Understanding of requirements to make regulatory change in an FDA regulated environment
Skills:
- Logical, methodical, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast moving and high-pressure environment.
- Able to lead teams outside of own reporting line
- Hands on user of integrated business software, ideally SAP R3
- Computer literate
- Good communication, presentation, inter-personal skills
- Strong team player
