We are seeking a skilled (Industrial/ Fabrications/ Weld) Radiographer to join our team to work in a dynamic environment where precision and expertise are valued.
You will be responsible for conducting high-quality radiography on welded steel components, interpreting radiographs and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Security Clearance Requirement! To meet legal and client recruitment requirements, candidates must have been UK residents for 5 years or more with full Right To Work in the UK. Key Responsibilities for Industrial Radiographer:
- Conduct radiography of welded steel components as an Industrial Radiographer
- Interpret radiographs and identify defects, ensuring accuracy.
- Report inspection results and document non-conformance.
- Perform non-routine and complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Apply local management system documentation (policies, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, etc)
- Support the Quality Management team in planned tasks and non-conformance verification.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Write accurate reports and presentations, ensuring clarity in Radiography findings.
- Represent the department at local Quality reviews.
Essential Skills & Experience as Radiographer:
Qualifications:
- NC or HNC in a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- PCN Level 2 Radiography (RT - Radiographic Testing) in Welds.
- RPS PCN qualification / Advanced Radiation Safety Certification
Expertise:
- Strong understanding and application of IRR 2017 regulations in radiography.
- Ability to interpret weld defects through radiography and NDT techniques.
- Skilled in writing radiographic techniques.
Desirable Skills: (Not essential)
- PCN Level 2 in Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI/ PT)
- CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level 2 in Welding Inspection (WI)
- Background in engineering manufacturing or a trade disciplines
