Location: Malton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours; 30 minute paid break + 30 minute unpaid lunch)

Hourly Pay: £15/hour (£31,200 annual equivalent)

Temp to Perm (18 weeks)

Join a busy yard & workshop team as a Plant Operator to support machinery movements, loading, preparation and general site operations. Ideal for someone practical, organised and confident operating machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Yard management: Keep the yard clean, organised and safe; maintain machine display areas; ensure clear access routes.
  • Machinery movement: Safely move equipment using forklifts (up to 7T), side loaders, telehandlers, tractors and overhead cranes (OHC/10T Humber).
  • Vehicle loading: Load/unload lorries, secure loads, follow safe lifting procedures and support drivers.
  • Machine preparation: Wash, prepare and complete basic pre-delivery checks; fit simple attachments.
  • General workshop support: Assist workshop, parts and production teams; support housekeeping; help maintain buildings and grounds.
  • Local collections: Carry out local supplier collections using company vehicles.
