Kinetic are seeking to recruit experienced Pipefitters for a permanent role in Portsmouth. The roles are permanent and pay £34,460 p.a on days working Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.15pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm. The role will be undertaken out on vessels that are either alongside, in dry dock, under deep maintenance or in hangers and workshops. Projects will include fitting and installing new piping networks, working with a range of piped services including HP Air, Steam, Gas, Hydraulics and pneumatics. Working from drawings and schematics through to manufacture.
Skills & Experience:
- Have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship, naval equivalent qualifications, or qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in an associated Trade)
- Pipe fabrication from 8mm to 323mm in different types of material
- Braze both silver and soft solder to class 1 standards
- Test pipework on completion of manufacture
- A sound knowledge of all pipework systems and materials including connectors, adaptors, couplings, and fastenings is essential.
