Overview

CNC Laser Operator position in Nelson, Lancashire.

This is a permanent, secure role with a salary of circa £34,476 (£17.00 per hour).

Experience with Trumpf or Bystronic laser equipment is preferred.

The successful candidate will be valued as an individual and will work with edge-cutting laser technology in a factory environment.

Shift pattern may include days and rotating times.

Responsibilities

  • Operate laser-cutting equipment to process sheet metal and cut to required sizes.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor laser machines and tooling to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Use power and hand tools as needed to support the laser cutting process.
  • Ensure work meets specifications, tolerances, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment (preferred brands: Trumpf or Bystronic).
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and process specifications.
  • Good manual dexterity and teamwork skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work structured shifts as required (e. g., mornings and rotating pattern).
