Experienced Resourcing Consultant - Engineering, Manufacturing & Industrial Candidates

Newcastle | £26,000-£30,000 + Bonus | Hybrid Working | Permanent

Kinetic Recruitment has been recruiting within Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial markets for over 40 years, and we're looking for an experienced Resourcing Consultant to join our established North-East team in Newcastle.

This isn't simply a job advertising and CV-searching role. We're looking for somebody who genuinely enjoys the candidate side of recruitment - finding good people, speaking to them, understanding what they're looking for and building relationships that mean they come back to you when they're ready for their next move.

You'll work alongside experienced Recruitment Consultants, resourcing for a stable, long-term client base across the North-East. Many of these are established Kinetic relationships where we have recruited for the client over a number of years, giving you the opportunity to really understand their businesses, sites and the type of people who succeed within them.

You'll predominantly source blue-collar, skilled trades and higher-level industrial and manufacturing candidates for temporary and permanent opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Proactively sourcing candidates through job boards, our database, referrals and social media
  • Building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines for regularly recruited skills
  • Screening and interviewing candidates
  • Matching candidates to temporary and permanent vacancies
  • Developing long-term relationships with candidates and temporary workers
  • Supporting experienced Consultants with the delivery of vacancies for established clients
  • Developing a detailed understanding of our clients, their sites and their recruitment requirements
  • Keeping in regular contact with workers and candidates
  • Ensuring candidate information and compliance is accurate and up to date

Who we're looking for:

Ideally, you'll already have experience in recruitment, resourcing or candidate delivery. Engineering (skilled & trades), manufacturing and Industrial recruitment experience would be particularly useful, although we're more interested in finding someone who understands candidate recruitment, enjoys speaking to people and knows how to build relationships.

You'll need to be proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple vacancies and candidate requirements. You must hold a full driving licence and be able to drive, as travel to client sites will be required from time to time.

Your career - your choice:

We recognise that great Resourcers don't necessarily want to become Recruitment Consultants. If you enjoy candidate recruitment and want to develop your career as a specialist Resourcer, we're very happy for this to be a long-term career with Kinetic. Alternatively, if your ambition is to manage your own clients and progress into a Recruitment Consultant role, we'll give you the opportunity, training and experience to make that progression.

Salary, Bonus & Working Arrangements:

  • £26,000-£30,000, depending on recruitment experience, sector knowledge and proven candidate delivery
  • Bonus linked to the candidates you source and the GP revenue they generate
  • Newcastle based
  • Hybrid working available, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office
  • Normal working hours of 8.30am-5.00pm, with flexibility available
  • Full driving licence required
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided
  • Free onsite parking

Benefits:

We want people to build a long-term career with Kinetic, so our benefits develop with your service.

  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • An additional day off for your birthday
  • Team and company social events
  • Access to training and development relevant to your role

After 3 months:

  • Auto-enrolment into our pension scheme - currently 5% employee contribution and 3% from Kinetic

Following successful completion of your 6-month probation:

  • You become a member of the Kinetic Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) - when Kinetic is successful and meets its company targets, one third of net profits are distributed equally amongst all Employee Owners in April each year.
  • £200 annual Personal Development & Well-being Allowance, which can be used towards hobbies and interests outside of work.

After 12 months:

  • Private Health Scheme (taxable benefit; personal contribution may be required)
  • Enhanced Company Pension Scheme - Kinetic contributes 6% when you contribute 3%, together with access to financial advisers
  • Option to join the Bupa Healthcare Cash Plan, helping towards costs such as optical and dental treatment
  • Death in Service / Life Assurance

Why Kinetic?

  • You'll be joining an experienced North-East team with a stable, long-term client base and strong relationships across the region, backed by over 40 years of experience in recruitment.
  • We want people to build careers with Kinetic, whether your strengths and ambitions lie in becoming an exceptional Resourcer or progressing into a Recruitment Consultant role in the future. You'll have the support, experience and opportunity around you to develop in the direction that's right for you.
  • As an Employee-Owned business, we also believe that the people who contribute to Kinetics' success should share in it. Following successful completion of your probation, you'll become an Employee Owner and have the opportunity to share equally in the annual profit distribution when company targets are achieved.
  • If you're an experienced Resourcer looking for a supportive team, established clients and the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to a business you can share in the success of, we'd love to hear from you.
