We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a friendly, close-knit engineering team building high-quality bespoke machinery. This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys bringing complex machinery together to the highest standards of fit, finish and performance.
The Role as Mechanical Engineer:
- Mechanical assembly and build of bespoke machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working with pneumatics, cylinders, slides and pressure regulators
- Machine build, installation and mechanical testing
- Fault finding and problem solving during assembly
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Ensuring exceptional quality, accuracy and attention to detail
What we are looking for in the Mechanical Engineer:
- Proven experience in machine build, mechanical fitting or machinery assembly
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings
- Good understanding of pneumatic systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Conventional machining or CNC knowledge advantageous
- Ideally 8+ years' relevant engineering experience
