Kinetic PLC are proud to be supporting one of our clients in the recruitment of a Material Planner to join their team at their Peterborough site. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to gain hands-on experience supporting the planning team with essential supply chain and materials operations.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 39 hours per week
- Hybrid role - usually 2 days per week working from home
Contract & Rate:
- Initial 9-month contract with potential for extension
- Β£13.80 per hour
What you'll be doing:
- Checking daily material planning panels to ensure there is enough stock to meet production and customer demand.
- Creating and releasing purchase orders so products and materials arrive when they're needed.
- Reviewing supplier order boards and keeping internal planning systems updated with the latest information.
- Adjusting and rescheduling purchase orders to help improve delivery times and support the wider supply chain.
- Providing accurate, up-to-date information to the Customer Order Management team so they can plan customer orders correctly.
- Attending regular end-to-end planning meetings to review outstanding orders and discuss upcoming requirements.
- Maintaining strong communication with plant and warehouse teams to make sure lead time information is accurate and reliable.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Reporting any accidents, hazards or safety concerns as soon as they arise.
- Following all health and safety procedures, policies and site rules.
- Completing any required HSE training to ensure safe working practices.
