Kinetic Manchester are recruiting a Machine Minder to work for one of our clients based in Blackley. The company has history dating back more than 120 years and is a world-class manufacturer. Their products build the infrastructure that supports the way we live and work.
You will benefit from working with a fantastic company and also:
- £12.21ph per hour
- Increase after 12 weeks Training to £17.07
You will be working rotating weekly so you must be able to work both. Please note, a DBS check will be completed upon offer.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the line remains operational during the shift
- Making minor machine adjustments to ensure the effectiveness of the plant equipment
- Maintaining the quality of the product
- Identify manufacturing compliance problems
- Operate production machinery as per SOP and Process Specification
- Complete production sheets e.g. production figures, down time and scrap
- Carry out 5S duties
- Complete the initial investigations in order to solve process problems using a range of techniques e.g. data collecting, analysis of SPC Chart
- Complete the line set up and start up in a responsible and safe manner
- Completing any safety check offs
- Test completed reels/drums as per inspection schedule and record on production sheet
- Update waste management systems, scrap sheets and correctly dispose of scrap
Qualifications / Skills
- Excellent practical skills for completing manual work
- Extrusion experience would be a great advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow written and spoken instructions
- Ability to work quickly and follow set routine patterns
- Awareness of health and safety
- Must be flexible and enthusiastic and a team player
- Able to consistently work rotating shifts
