Our client, based on the outskirts of Runcorn, are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker/TIG Welder to start straight away. The job is permanent from day 1, is on days working Monday to Thursday (7am - 5pm) and will pay £17.56/hr PAYE. Someone from a sheet metal background would be preferred, who is used to carrying out TIG welding & able to read engineering drawings. The sheet metal duties are fairly basic in terms of rolling & forming. This role involves working with various materials, primarily stainless steel, to assemble components and create high-quality products.
Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
- Read and understand engineering drawings in order to carry out fabrication.
- Work with a variety of metals to produce high quality work.
- Work in a small team but also manage their own small welding jobs.
Requirements:
- Skilled/Qualified in welding (mainly TIG) and able to read drawings.
- Experience working with sheet metal processes, rolling, forming etc.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
