Role: Maintenance Engineer

Hours: 6-2pm/2-10pm rotating weekly

Salary: £20.67/hr PAYE + Holidays

Location: Commutable from Flint, Deeside, Holywell, Chester, South Wirral

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of production equipment with a mechanical bias (70/30 mech/elec) and basic electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery including Check Weighers, Flow Wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors and cutting machinery.
  • Manage engineering stores and parts and contribute to continual improvement of the PM system.
  • Flexible, proactive work style; manage own workload and work closely with other engineers on site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally HNC level.
  • Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work.
  • Solid all-round mechanical engineering experience (bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, and other production machinery) with some electrical fault finding skills.
  • Experience with Check Weighers, Flow Wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors and cutting machinery is desirable.
