Job Title : CAD / Design Engineer (Permanent)Salary : 30-35k

Location : Oldham, Greater Manchester. Kinetic Plc are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business, to recruit 2 CAD Engineers for their Design Hub in North Manchester. There are both entry level roles available and also more experienced positions on offer. Ideally you will degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering and be well versed in using Inventor or SolidWorks.

Role Overview

The successful candidates will join a dedicated engineering team, contributing to the design and development of high precision mechanical and electromechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Supporting the development of new and existing product designs.
  • Collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are manufacture ready and meet stringent quality standards.
  • Assisting with documentation for prototypes, testing procedures and certifications.
  • Managing engineering drawing files and maintaining up-to-date records of product configurations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience using 3D CAD software (ideally Inventor or SolidWorks) in a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials (particularly metals and precision components).
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
