Kinetic are assisting a large engineering company in Burnley to recruit 2 x Night Shift Foundry Operative to work in their large site. The company have been established over 50 years and due to continuous growth and work load are looking for people who want to grow with them.
The night shift foundry op will be responsible for several tasks that span multiple areas within the department. Here are some of the tasks:
- Operate wax injection moulding machines.
- Set and adjust machines when required.
- Inspect wax parts to ensure good quality.
- Assemble wax components onto runner systems.
- Load and unload moulding robots.
- Maintain correct slurry and sander settings.
- Mix slurry batches to required specifications.
- Monitor shelling conditions and report issues.
- Work safely with molten metal in a high temperature area.
- De wax and prepare moulds for casting.
- Follow melt tracking procedures for certification.
- Help prepare moulds throughout the casting process.
- Finish castings using belt linishers or grinding tools.
- Operate cut off saws and other Foundry machinery.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
- Inspect finished castings and use computer systems as needed.
The role requires flexibility, with Foundry Operatives working across multiple areas of the Foundry and being open to learning and operating additional equipment. This is a key role within the business, so we’re looking for the Night Shift Foundry Operatives to bring:
- A methodical, structured approach with a strong understanding of working to set standards.
- Experience working with intricate injection mouldings.
- Confidence in making decisions within agreed guidelines.
- Good organisational skills, even when working under pressure.
- The ability to safely handle items up to 25kg.
- Solid computer skills and the ability to use digital tools confidently.
- Strong time management abilities to keep tasks on track.

- £25,114.96 + £8674.64 Night Shift Allowance (£33,789.52pa)
