Duties will include:
- Review and develop the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
- Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems
- Schedule both internal and external work(s)
- Manage the team to ensure machine availability
- Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements undertaken
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose
- Manage and maintain site criticality survey
- Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend
- Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery
- Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery
- Lead and develop capability in the team to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
- Provide technical expertise to the team
- Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand
- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the engineering department
- Ensure that Housekeeping in all Engineering Controlled areas are kept to the highest standards
- Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
Successful candidates will have:
- Experience of leading an Engineering department with strong leadership and team development skills
- Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential
- A good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision-making skills and have a positive attitude to your work
- Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures
- CMMS experience and knowledge
- Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site
- Driven to deliver solutions, ideas and innovations in a positive and pragmatic way
- Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of internal H&S audits and processes
- Capex and Project Management experience essential
Salary: £65,000 - £68,000
Shift: Days, Mon to Fri
