We're recruiting a proactive Logistics Manager to lead all inbound, outbound, and onsite material flow. You'll ensure goods move efficiently through the business, support production schedules, and drive improvements across warehousing, transport, and inventory control. This is a hands-on leadership role in a modular manufacturing environment with a 5 year order book.
Responsibilities:
- Logistics operations: Overseeing daily warehouse, transport, and inventory activity.
- Transport planning: Managing carriers, booking collections/deliveries, and controlling freight spend.
- Warehouse leadership: Ensuring efficient goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Inventory accuracy: Monitoring stock levels and working with procurement/production to prevent shortages.
- Team management: Leading, coaching, and developing warehouse and logistics staff.
- Compliance & safety: Ensuring adherence to H&S, transport legislation, and internal standards.
- Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve KPIs.
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management (manufacturing/engineering preferred).
- Strong understanding of transport planning, inventory systems, and ERP/WMS platforms.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- FLT licence or CPC qualification is beneficial but not essential.
