Senior SEO & Content Lead (German)

Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEO & Content Lead to join our team and take ownership of a website targeting German-speaking markets. You will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies tailored to the German market, while managing a team of writers and translators to ensure the production of high-quality, locally resonant content. As a growing company, the responsibilities will be varied, and this role will be right for you if you are able to work at a strategic level and you aren\’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the day-to-day execution. You must be proactive, decisive, and comfortable working autonomously. Key accountabilities Ownership of content including revenue & ranking performance Planning, creating and delivering upon SEO & content strategies to meet agreed objectives and KPIs Strategising, planning & delivering upon content plans for the German market Management & hiring of freelance content editors & producers, ensuring work is delivered on time and at the required quality Optimising site content; both on an individual page basis, as well as considering and understanding how to utilise a website as a whole to harness greater rankings Conducting audits and providing recommendations to ensure optimal content performance Reporting on the performance of the websites in line with KPIs Requirements 4+ years experience in a dedicated content role A history of demonstrable success delivering results through SEO and content A solid understanding of the content production process, including management of a production team Ability to work autonomously and own projects from start to finish Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage a large workload Knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics / SEMrush / Ahrefs / Majestic SEO / Screaming Frog / Supermetrics Great communicator of critical information in English Linguistic understanding of German Experience in affiliate marketing desirable Google Sheets proficiency Deep knowledge of latest SEO practices Experience with website analytics Fluency in German preferred Personal High levels of energy and enthusiasm Hard working and proactive Thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment Resilient and maintains a positive attitude at all times £45,000 – £55,000 salary per annum, depending on experience Remote working policy – Work from our London office, at home, or a combination of both Access to Uncommon – Our vibrant coworking space in central London, offering regular members events like weekly tea times, monthly drinks, and lunchtime yoga classes!
