We’re an independent games studio best known for creating Phasmophobia, enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. About the role: We’re looking for a Junior 2D Artist to join our art team and support the creation of high-quality visual assets. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in graphic design and an interest in supporting 3D/prop art pipelines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create 2D graphic assets to support in-game / in-product visuals
  • Design and produce alpha textures for use by prop, character and environment artists
  • Collaborate closely with prop artists and the wider art team to ensure assets meet visual and technical requirements
  • Iterate on assets based on feedback while maintaining consistency with the project’s art style
  • Organize and maintain art files according to studio pipelines and naming conventions

Requirements:

  • Basic to intermediate skills in Photoshop (or equivalent 2D software)
  • Solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals (composition, value, readability, shape language)
  • Familiarity with alpha maps / grayscale textures and how they are used in 3D workflows
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback constructively
  • A portfolio demonstrating 2D artwork, graphic design, or texture work

Nice to Have:

  • Illustrative Skills and Digital Painting
  • Experience or interest in game art / 3D pipelines
  • Familiarity with tools like Substance Designer/Painter
  • Understanding of PBR texture workflows
  • Passion for games, animation, or digital art
