About the role: We're looking for a passionate and proactive Community Manager to help strengthen the relationship between our players, creators and the teams behind our games. Working across both Kinetic Games and Kinetic Publishing, you'll play a key role in managing our social media channels, engaging with our communities, and helping shape how we communicate with players throughout the lifecycle of our titles. You'll create engaging content, monitor community sentiment, and work closely with development teams to ensure player feedback is understood and represented internally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day activity across Kinetic Games' and Kinetic Publishing's social media channels.
  • Building, nurturing and engaging our player communities across platforms including Discord, Reddit, Steam, TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant channels.
  • Creating and scheduling engaging social media content that aligns with marketing campaigns, game updates and community initiatives.
  • Acting as the voice of the studio by communicating with players in a friendly, authentic and professional manner.
  • Monitoring community sentiment, identifying trends and player feedback, and sharing actionable insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns, announcements, game launches and live service communications across both Kinetic Games and publishing partners.
  • Working closely with developers to understand upcoming features, updates and priorities, helping translate complex information into player-friendly messaging.
  • Collaborating with designers, artists, video editors and external agencies to produce engaging social and community content.
  • Helping manage relationships with external agencies and ensuring deliverables are completed to a high standard.
  • Supporting community events including livestreams, AMAs, creator initiatives and Discord activities where appropriate.
  • Assisting with crisis communications and helping ensure messaging remains clear, timely and consistent during sensitive situations.
  • Monitoring social media performance and community engagement metrics, using insights to continually improve content and strategy.
  • Staying up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms and best practices within the games industry.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Community Manager, Social Media Manager or similar role, ideally within the games industry.
  • Strong understanding of community management across Discord, Reddit, Steam and major social media platforms.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Experience creating engaging social media content and working with content calendars.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different projects.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, artists, producers and marketers.
  • Experience working with, coordinating or managing external agencies or creative partners.
  • Ability to analyse community feedback and social performance data to inform future activity.
  • Passion for video games and a genuine understanding of gaming communities and online culture.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience working on live service games and supporting ongoing player communities.
  • Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer or similar platforms.
  • Experience using Discord moderation tools and community management platforms.
  • Experience working with moderation and admin teams on community-driven channels such as Discord and Reddit.
  • Basic image editing or video editing skills using tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro or Canva.
  • Experience supporting influencer or creator campaigns.
  • Understanding of community health metrics, sentiment analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with international communities and localised content.
  • Knowledge of current trends across gaming, streaming and creator ecosystems.
