Kinetic Business Solutions are supporting a leading medical devices manufacturer based in Plymouth with the appointment of a skilled Production Technician to join their night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment where your technical skills will directly support the production of healthcare products used worldwide. The role works 11pm to 11am and includes a 37% shift premium on top of basic salary, making this a strong package for candidates with proven maintenance, fault-finding and production support experience.
The Role:
- Operate and support production machinery within a fast-paced medical devices manufacturing environment.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery to maintain operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults, reducing downtime and supporting continuous production.
- Ensure manufacturing equipment is correctly set up and producing product to required quality and process standards.
- Monitor in-process quality and take action to prevent product holds or production delays.
- Support line activities including machine operation, product assembly, pallet release and cover for production breaks.
