About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Developer to join a small, agile team working on a key product modernisation initiative. You\’ll be hands-on in developing new features, driving technical direction, and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to influence system design and work with a modern tech stack.
Technical Leadership:
- Set the technical trajectory and ensure alignment with product strategy.
- Mentor and support developers of all experience levels, promoting best practices.
- Provide technical input to support team hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Collaborate with technical partners to ensure successful integrations.
Development & Architecture:
- Design, build, and maintain software across the product suite
- Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code in line with architectural standards.
- Conduct peer code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
Agile Delivery:
- Participate in all relevant agile ceremonies (Scrumban framework).
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
- Identify and remove technical impediments to support delivery velocity.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with the Product Owner to ensure technical alignment with feature goals.
- Collaborate with the professional services team on custom customer-driven development.
- Occasionally participate in customer visits for technical planning.
About You:
You are a passionate and technically capable professional who applies quality as a standard across the entire SDLC. With a strong foundation in Agile methodologies, you’ve previously implemented engineering best practices and are ready to drive technical direction while remaining hands-on with development. You’re a confident communicator who collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders and enjoys fostering technical growth across teams. You\’re motivated by building scalable solutions and leading by example.
- Strong experience in React, C# (.NET 8), AWS (S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda, etc.), Entity Framework, SQL, and microservices.
- Experience implementing engineering best practices and are ready to drive technical direction while remaining hands-on with development.
- A confident communicator who collaborates closely with cross-functional teams.
- A desire to build scalable solutions and lead by example through your work.
- Agile experience in Scrum/Kanban teams and a focus on delivering quality in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to mentor and foster technical growth across teams.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, DNA Payments) useful
- Interest in contributing to the external tech community (e.g., open-source, blogs, speaking at conferences). also welcomed but not essential
