An exciting new role within the subsidiary of a larger group, this role would suit if you are looking for greater autonomy and responsibility within your career. The role will focus on financial controllership, strengthening the financial control environment while driving operational excellence. This pivotal role serves as the most senior on-site Finance person.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and enhance all aspects of a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP requirements.
- Oversee the timely reporting of accurate and complete financial results.
- Partner closely with the FP&A team to develop actionable insights that improve decision-making and processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related queries, directing issues appropriately and resolving escalations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, creating a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with peers on more complex technical US GAAP matters.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, including oversight of the local statutory audit.
- Collaborate with FP&A to develop reporting tools that drive meaningful business insights.
- Take the initiative when it comes to dealing with queries from Regional and Global finance functions.
About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA), bonus if you've trained in practice.
- Solid 4+ years of experience in a Finance control oriented role.
- Technical experience across US GAAP, Corporation Tax, VAT ideal.
- Innovative; able to drive solutions and inspire change.
- A strategic thinker with strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Clear communication style, able to simplify complex ideas.
- Organised and accountable with a delivery mindset.
