Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) Technical Consultant
We're supporting a business embarking on significant optimisation of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance platform and are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Technical Consultant to help shape the next phase of their Finance transformation.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, you'll become the technical authority for the programme, helping redesign Source-to-Pay processes, improve Accounts Payable automation, rationalise configuration and establish best practice across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design of a Dynamics 365 Finance Source-to-Pay transformation.
- Review existing Finance configuration and recommend best-practice approaches.
- Design efficient transaction structures to support AP automation and workflow.
- Define and optimise master data, approval workflows, security roles and controls.
- Translate business requirements into practical D365 Finance solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across configuration, integrations and platform capability.
- Advise on AP Automation and OCR solutions, including how they integrate with D365 Finance.
- Support host-to-host payment integration and wider Finance process automation.
- Produce clear documentation, solution designs and configuration guidance.
- Work alongside internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
- We're looking for someone with
- Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (formerly Finance & Operations) projects.
- Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant, Senior Functional Consultant or Solution Architect.
- Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay / Source-to-Pay and Accounts Payable processes.
- Strong knowledge of D365 Finance configuration, workflows, security, financial dimensions and master data.
- Experience working across configuration, integrations and technical solution design.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and recommend best practice.
- Experience working closely with Finance users, implementation partners and internal IT teams.
Ideally they would like someone who could get into Central / East London – approximately 1-2 days per week, to build rapport with key stakeholders, but this could be negotiable for the right skill set.
