We’re recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to join a busy IT Service Desk, delivering 2nd and 3rd line support across a range of business-critical applications. You’ll support primarily bespoke systems, taking ownership of incidents, resolving issues, and ensuring applications remain stable and reliable. This role involves close collaboration with developers, infrastructure teams, and end users.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for business applications
- Manage and resolve incidents via ITSM tools
- Troubleshoot application and data issues (including SQL)
- Support user access, onboarding/offboarding
- Maintain documentation and knowledge articles
- Escalate complex issues where required
- Support releases and user testing
- Experience in application support (2nd line or above)
- Decent SQL skills - Able to Select / Join tables, query data and scripts to look for quick fixes.
- Experience supporting bespoke SQL based systems
- Excellent communication and customer focus
- Microsoft platforms or Dynamics exposure useful for some applications.
- Experience with APIs or web applications
- Hands-on role supporting critical systems
