Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (formerly Finance & Operations) projects.
  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant, Senior Functional Consultant, or Solution Architect.
  • Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay / Source-to-Pay and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Strong knowledge of D365 Finance configuration, workflows, security, financial dimensions, and master data.
  • Experience working across configuration, integrations, and technical solution design.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and recommend best practice.
  • Experience working closely with Finance users, implementation partners, and internal IT teams.
  • Ability to work in Central / East London approximately 1-2 days per week, ideally, though this may be negotiable.
  • Immediate or quick start preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design of our Dynamics 365 Finance Source-to-Pay transformation.
  • Review our existing Finance configuration and recommend best-practice approaches.
  • Design efficient transaction structures to support AP automation and workflow.
  • Define and optimise master data, approval workflows, security roles, and controls.
  • Translate business requirements into practical D365 Finance solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership across configuration, integrations, and platform capability.
  • Advise on AP Automation and OCR solutions, including how they integrate with D365 Finance.
  • Support host-to-host payment integration and wider Finance process automation.
  • Produce clear documentation, solution designs, and configuration guidance.
  • Work alongside our internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.

We are supporting a business embarking on significant optimisation of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance platform and are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Technical Consultant to help shape the next phase of our Finance transformation.

You will work closely with our Finance stakeholders as the technical authority for the programme, helping redesign Source-to-Pay processes, improve Accounts Payable automation, rationalise configuration, and establish best practice across the platform.

The role is outside IR35, offered on a competitive day rate for 4-6 months, with an ideal presence in Central / East London around 1-2 days per week to build rapport with key stakeholders, though this may be negotiable for the right skill set.
