We are looking for a hands-on Data Migration Engineer / Consultant to join a fast-growing organisation. Your core mission will be to migrate operational (CRM) data from multiple legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics, repeatedly, reliably, and under pressure.
What Youll Be Doing
- For each OpCo, analyse legacy source systems (often undocumented)
- Understand and interrogate data models at source and target (D365/Dynamics)
- Perform source-to-target mapping
- Extract, cleanse, transform, and load data into Microsoft Dynamics. This will be using various tools, but common being SQL / SSIS. Occasionally Python is used, where it is the best tool for the job.
- Own data migration issues through to resolution (including post-migration BAU support)
- Investigate missing, incorrect, or inconsistent data under time pressure
- Support out-of-hours and weekend migrations when required
- Work closely with stakeholders who depend on accurate data to run the business
You will work across:
- Bespoke, undocumented, and at times, home-grown systems
- SaaS platforms (e.g. CRM-style tools some include SalesForce, but often not enterprise grade)
- Spreadsheets and imperfect real-world data
What Were Looking For
- Essential
- Proven experience delivering data migrations (CRM applications such as SalesForce / D365 highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of data structures, relational models, and transformations
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes (tooling is secondary to understanding)
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure, delivery-focused environments
- Able to explain how you moved data, not just which tools you used
- Strong SQL / SSIS essential.
- Nice to have could include Kingswaysoft and/or some Python.
Why Join?
- High visibility, business-critical role
- Direct ownership of outcomes
- High growth business = real career opportunity if desired.
Interviews are planned for May. Please apply today for an immediate CV review.
