We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Programme Planning & Resource Lead to join a large-scale transformation programme where planning, resource coordination, and dependency management are critical to success.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving delivery environments and enjoys solving complex planning challenges across multiple concurrent projects.
You will work closely with Programme Directors and Project Managers to manage programme-wide planning activity, identify delivery risks early, balance resource demands, and continuously rework plans to keep delivery on track.
This is not a traditional governance-focused PMO role. Instead, we need someone who lives in the detail of the plans day-to-day spotting conflicts, challenging timelines, managing dependencies, and helping delivery teams avoid slippage before it impacts the wider programme.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing programme-wide plans and resource coordination
- Identifying clashes, dependencies, bottlenecks, and delivery risks
- Continuously re-planning activity as priorities shift
- Balancing workloads and go-live schedules across delivery teams
- Working closely with Project Managers to maintain realistic delivery plans
- Challenging risks and escalating issues proactively
- Supporting programme leadership with operational delivery planning
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in programme planning, resource management, or delivery coordination
- Experience within an MSP, consultancy, SI partner, or fast-paced transformation environment
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of dependencies, resource conflicts, and delivery risk management
- Experience using tools such as Monday, Excel, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar
- Someone proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable operating at pace
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role within a major transformation programme where your ability to anticipate issues, rebalance priorities, and keep delivery moving will have a direct impact on programme success.
Interviews are planned for late May. Please apply today for an immediate CV review.
