As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive sales and expand Kinedo's presence across key sectors within your designated territory, taking full ownership of both new business development and the ongoing performance of existing accounts. This role requires a commercially agile individual capable of wearing multiple hats, balancing proactive business development with the day-to-day management, growth, and retention of established customers.

You will be responsible for identifying, targeting and converting new opportunities, while also maximising value from existing relationships through regular engagement, range development and project support. A core focus of the role will be specification-led selling within the UK bathroom sector, working closely with specifiers, architects, designers, social housing & housing associations, developers and housebuilders to secure Kinedo products at the design stage and through to installation.

You will engage with a diverse customer base, including installers, specifiers, bathroom showrooms and merchants, ensuring Kinedo is positioned as the preferred solution across residential and commercial projects. The role demands a consultative, value-based sales approach, providing technical insight, product guidance and project support to influence decisions and drive long-term brand loyalty. You will act as a brand ambassador for Kinedo, strengthening market awareness, identifying emerging trends and feeding back market intelligence to support the wider business strategy.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience selling bathroom products within the UK market, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in social housing, local authority, housing association or public sector frameworks.
  • Demonstrable success operating in a specification-led sales environment, engaging with consultants, architects, designers, asset managers and employer's agents to secure product approval at pre-tender and design stages.
  • Strong understanding of social housing procurement processes, including frameworks, tenders, schedules of rates, compliance requirements and approved supplier lists.
  • Ability to balance new business development with the effective management and growth of existing accounts, ensuring long-term continuity across refurbishment and new-build programmes.
  • Well-developed value-based selling capability, with confidence in presenting whole-life cost, compliance, sustainability and performance benefits to influence specification decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders, including procurement teams, contractors, installers and merchants.
  • Highly organised with strong territory and pipeline management skills, capable of managing long sales cycles and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven mindset, comfortable working autonomously while maintaining alignment with wider commercial and specification strategies.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems, sufficient to manage reporting, project tracking and customer records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined customer base, maintaining strong commercial relationships across the territory.
  • Deliver new business growth while maximising performance from existing accounts across social housing and project-led opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed KPIs and sales targets for volume, value and specification activity.
  • Implement an effective call and project plan, balancing daily customer visits with longer-cycle specification engagement.
  • Influence specification at pre-tender and design stage by engaging with housing associations, local authorities, consultants and contractors.
  • Present and promote the Kinedo range using a consultative, value-based approach aligned to customer and project requirements.
  • Provide product training and ongoing support to installers, merchants, showroom teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain high-quality Kinedo showroom displays, ensuring ranges are current and teams are confident in selling the brand.
  • Monitor market activity and feedback insight to support continuous improvement and commercial decision-making.
