We’re looking for fantastic Passenger Assistants in Essex, Thurrock, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire!

Whilst you don’t need previous experience providing Social Care Transport services, your passion, interest and focus on improving the lives of our service users and promoting their independence as much as possible are the key ingredients that we need, in order for you to thrive.

Main Responsibilities:

Our Passenger Assistants provide critical transport support to vulnerable children and adults in our community. Some of the support you provide will include:

  • Availability between 6.30am – 10am and 2pm – 5.30pm (this will be more precise to the weekly hours advertised, when your route has been allocated).
  • Working closely with your Driver as a team, following a pre-defined route of vulnerable children and/or adults requiring specialist transport services.
  • Safeguarding your passengers at all times when in your care.
  • Assisting passengers getting onboard the vehicle, ensuring they are comfortable and safe.
  • Willingness to take on specialist training for passengers with additional needs as and when required.
  • Maintaining professionalism and good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
