Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children to learn, play, explore, and develop.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly homely environment for all children.
  • Implement interesting and inspiring activities for children to learn through play.
  • Build relationships with key children and record their interests and achievements through observations.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard children, parents, and staff by upholding shared responsibility and reporting concerns to management in line with policy.
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training, parent information sessions, and functions as appropriate, including marketing events and activities that may run during evenings or weekends.
  • Treat all personal and sensitive information relating to staff, children, families, visitors, nursery or the company with utmost integrity and confidentiality.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to working within Early Years Childcare.

Desirable

  • Previous nursery experience.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Food Hygiene certification.
