As a Bank Nursery Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our nursery teams whenever additional cover is needed. You'll help create a warm, safe and nurturing environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive. You will:
- Work as part of the nursery team to create a welcoming, home-from-home environment for every child.
- Supervise and care for children at all times, ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.
- Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Model best practice and work in accordance with nursery policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Support the daily running of the nursery, adapting to different rooms and age groups as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to delivering outstanding care and customer service
- Good time management and the ability to work flexibly
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Desirable;
- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
- A full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
