My client is a well-respected name seeking a driven and commercially minded Media Sales Executive to join an established media business operating within the financial services sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least one year of media or advertising sales experience who is looking to accelerate their career in a high-value, relationship-led environment.
Their portfolio spans digital advertising, premium sponsorship packages and high-profile industry events, including awards ceremonies and executive dinners. You will be selling to senior decision-makers across financial services, including asset managers, pension fund and investment firms.
The Role
- Selling digital advertising solutions across websites, newsletters and content platforms
- Securing sponsorship revenue for events, reports and branded content
- Selling tables and packages for prestigious awards and executive dinners
- Managing and growing existing client relationships while proactively developing new business
- Identifying commercial opportunities within the financial services market
- Working closely with editorial and events teams to deliver high-quality campaigns
- Consistently meeting and exceeding revenue targets
This is a consultative sales role where understanding your clients' objectives and offering creative, tailored solutions is key. The company are well known and part of this role will be utilising an existing, warm network of contacts.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines energy and ambition with strong relationship-building skills. You will have:
- A minimum of a year in media sales, advertising sales or event sponsorship sales
- A proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confidence in pitching over the phone, via video and in person
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, resilient and results-driven mindset
- An understanding of the financial media landscape — including pensions, investments, asset management or broader financial services — would be a significant advantage but is not essential. What matters most is your commercial instinct and appetite to learn.
