Cleaning Supervisor, London SE12 (ref SA)

We are seeking a dependable and responsible Cleaning Supervisor to join our team, working on a school site based in London, SE12.

Monday – Friday: 17.00 to 20.00

£12 p/h, 15 hours per week.

42 weeks per year (term time) + 3 weeks deep clean

The role includes being responsible for a team of cleaners cleaning classrooms, toilets, and common areas. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to our satisfaction. This is a criminal background check to make sure you are permitted to work on our sites.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols and standards, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in schools and businesses.

· Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and effectively, following set guidelines.

· Comply with all health and safety regulations following UK Health & Safety Laws and adhere to Kindred’s policies and procedures, actively participating in creating a safe and inclusive work environment.

· Carry out routine cleaning duties. Such duties will include dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, emptying rubbish bins, and sanitising surfaces, changing of items such as toilet paper, and hand soap, while being mindful of diverse needs and potential sensitivities.

· Liaising with our client and working with the Kindred manager.

· Leading and working as part of a team

· Covering when needed, · Full training in all aspects of the cleaning will be provided.

Previous supervisory experience is preferred however full training will be given.

Requirements, Skills & Experience

· Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.

· Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of cleaning standards.

· To be able to complete all your allocated cleaning tasks to the required standards within your set working hours.

· To be able to understand and follow health & safety instructions.

· Communication skills in English, although English is not required to be a first language.
