We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our dedicated team in Girton. This role offers the chance to lead a close‑knit team and support children’s development in a warm, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Manager and fellow Room Leaders to maintain the highest standards of early years care and education.
- Maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment.
- Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed.
- Help build and maintain the nursery’s reputation as the setting of choice for children and employees.
- Model and monitor best practice in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Support and inspire team members.
- Aid with the induction of new team members, welcoming them into the Kindred family.
Qualifications
- Essential: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Good time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher.
- Desirable: Previous experience of leading a team.
- Current paediatric first aid certificate.
- Safeguarding and child protection training (full training will be provided).
- Current food hygiene certificate.
