We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our dedicated team in Girton. This role offers the chance to lead a close‑knit team and support children’s development in a warm, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager and fellow Room Leaders to maintain the highest standards of early years care and education.
  • Maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment.
  • Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Help build and maintain the nursery’s reputation as the setting of choice for children and employees.
  • Model and monitor best practice in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Support and inspire team members.
  • Aid with the induction of new team members, welcoming them into the Kindred family.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Good time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher.
  • Desirable: Previous experience of leading a team.
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate.
  • Safeguarding and child protection training (full training will be provided).
  • Current food hygiene certificate.
