The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

To assist the Payroll Manager in the timely processing of payroll for various nurseries across the group, this will involve liaison with an outsourced provider and responding to queries regarding employee pay. Assisting the Finance Manager in preparing month end journals to calculate Revenue, Prepayments and accruals in line with specified timetables. Various analytical tasks to support the month end and year end processes which could be required to support the wider finance team and for audit purposes. Any other ad-hoc financial administrative tasks that the business requires from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Support payroll processing and liaison with outsourced payroll provider; respond to employee pay queries.
  • Assist with month end journals to calculate Revenue, Prepayments and accruals in line with timetables.
  • Perform various analytical tasks to support month end and year end processes for the wider finance team and audit purposes.
  • Carry out ad-hoc financial administrative tasks as required by the business.
  • Contribute to data extraction and reconciliation efforts to identify and correct anomalies.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to extract data from different sources and provide information required by the business.
  • Proficiency in reconciling different types of data and correcting issues found.
  • Ability to learn new systems and workflows in line with company requirements.
  • Knowledge of Payroll routines and RTI processing, previous payroll solutions, and auto-enrolment duties.
  • Experience of working in the childcare sector and with multi-site businesses is advantageous but not essential.
  • Desirable: AAT Qualification.

Recruitment Process
