Kindmind is seeking compassionate, reliable and community-minded volunteers to help create inclusive and supportive experiences for individuals and families. This role supports community engagement, events, resources and day-to-day activities that strengthen connection and wellbeing.

As a Community Support Volunteer, you will contribute to creating welcoming environments where people feel listened to, respected and supported. Volunteers play an important role in helping activities run smoothly and helping participants access appropriate information and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome participants and help create an inclusive atmosphere
  • Support workshops, events and community sessions
  • Assist with preparation and organisation of resources and materials
  • Help with outreach and engagement activities
  • Signpost individuals to available services where appropriate
  • Share observations and feedback to help improve delivery
  • Support practical administration tasks where needed

  • Are dependable and able to work collaboratively
  • Enjoy supporting people from different backgrounds
  • Have lived experience or interest in neurodiversity and SEND (welcome but not essential)
Time Commitment

Flexible volunteering opportunities available. Suggested commitment: approximately 2–5 hours per week. Working arrangements can be adapted to suit organisational needs.

Training and Support

Volunteers will receive:

  • Role induction
  • Safeguarding guidance
  • Role-specific support and check-ins
  • Ongoing opportunities to develop confidence and experience
