We’re currently expanding our team of experienced Maintenance Engineers and looking for a skilled engineer to work on a variety of projects with opportunities to grow your technical skills with advanced equipment and systems. In this role you will perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on manufacturing, production and process equipment in accordance with GMP standards. You will work flexibly to meet business demands, working in a safe manner to meet the agreed production schedules. Identify/work with the teams to actively improve equipment and processes within the value stream.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide and demonstrate expert level maintenance support to departmental manufacturing, process and packaging equipment, carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
  • Diagnose faults, ensuring minimal downtime of machinery and facilities.
  • Use predictive maintenance tools and techniques to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Resolve advanced level equipment breakdown and feedback to production and maintenance leadership teams.
  • Maintain and repair packaging/process/manufacturing, and process service equipment to validated specification.
  • Demonstrate sound fault-finding diagnostic ability, using fault finding tools.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
  • Identify root cause and provide solutions to issues, working with relevant resources to resolve.
  • Maintain equipment and assets in a safe, compliant, and reliable order.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within manufacturing, with proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Good fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to solutions.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information:

  • Shift Required: Onsite - 12-hour shifts which are 06:00 to 18:15 and 18:00 to 06:15 - average 40 hours per week.
  • Location: Derby Road, Loughborough.
