This vital role, where you will use your knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of complex machinery and systems, joining a supportive team where your contributions make a real difference to the overall sites performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out maintenance activities as scheduled by the plant engineering supervisor.
  • Provide technical support/respond to emergency maintenance requests from external groups.
  • Responsible person for assigned legislative documents.
  • Provide a general maintenance engineering service to manufacturing & support areas.
  • Provide planned and emergency maintenance support (breakdown resolution, fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance) for site utilities and manufacturing.
  • Ensure all engineering activities are carried out to the necessary standard complying with safety, cGMP & company requirements.
  • Execute specific assigned projects & balance workload against priorities, as required.
  • Keep abreast of technological innovation & evolving regulatory standards.
  • Assist in on-going development of the site CMMS system.
  • Training & development of engineering apprentices.
  • Ability to work to the 5S principles within the workspace.

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ maintenance experience, with a knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Pneumatic & Electrical systems in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Time served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multiskilled Engineering.
  • Knowledge of: Health & Safety Standards, Manufacturing Plant, Maintenance Engineering, Formal fault finding, Generation and distribution of site utilities, and Control systems.
  • Understanding of maintenance practices including planned, reactive, and predictive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of GMP standards.
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Information:

Working Hours: Onsite – working across a 3-shift pattern which will require working days and nights.
