Our role as a Contract Manufacturer is one we are incredibly proud of and is one which allows us to be at the forefront of new manufacturing technologies and processes, bringing lifesaving products to patients worldwide.

Due to significant changes in the marketplace, Kindeva is currently going through a period of substantial growth and we are looking for talented individuals to join our Clitheroe team.

Role Overview

In this role you will carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical/electrical control systems within a pharmaceutical environment, and have the aptitude and desire to undertake a 4-year apprenticeship. The successful applicant will spend the first year in full-time education at the approved training provider, with block placements onsite at Kindeva. Subsequent years will be day release at the training provider.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow / adhere to Kindeva’s Health and Safety and Environmental Policy
  • Work within a Regulatory working environment.
  • Maintain Mechanical / PLC Control Systems, HMI Systems and Vision Systems tailored to the pharmaceutical Environment.
  • Maintain and repair the equipment to validated specification.
  • Evaluate breakdowns and stoppages and communicate in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate sound fault-finding diagnostic ability (Use fault finding tools i.e. Fishbone 5 Whys C&E etc.)
  • Identify root cause and provide solutions to issues working with relevant resources to resolve.
  • Maintain equipment and assets in a safe, compliant, and reliable order.
  • Complete and maintain GMP documentation in line with Current Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Coach and promote “Best Engineering Practices” within work group.

Skills & Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent; a minimum of 3 including Maths & English at grade 5 or above is essential.
  • GCSE or equivalent in an engineering or technical subject desirable.

Training to be provided

  • L2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Foundation Competence).
  • L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competencies) Mechatronics Maintenance Technician.
  • L3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
  • Functional skills in English, Maths and ICT (if not already achieved).
