We are seeking fun, kind, and caring Early Years Assistant with a genuine passion for Early Years to join our lovely nursery. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

We are based in Croydon, Greater London and are a family run Nursery that has been providing innovative childcare since 1995. As an Early Years Assistant your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Providing fun learning and care for the children


• Following the Nursery vision and curriculum to give children the best possible start in life


• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with parents and carers


• Supporting children with their individual personal hygiene needs


• Providing effective and regular feedback to parents on their child’s day, personal development and any other relevant information


• Ensuring a bright and stimulating attractive room with colourful appropriate activities and displays showing children’s work


• Assisting with care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the nursery

Our nursery is situated in Croydon, with convenient transport links to East Croydon Station and South Croydon Station. The nearest tram stop is George Street Tram stop. We are also conveniently located for many bus routes our closest being the 403,60,466,407,166,312,405.

We support the children within our care,protect them from maltreatment and have robust procedures in place to prevent the impairment of children’s health and development. In our setting we strive to protect children from the risk of radicalisation, and we promote acceptance and tolerance of other beliefs and cultures.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

We have named persons within the nursery who take lead responsibility for safeguarding and

co-ordinate child protection and welfare issues, known asthe Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), there is always at least one designated person on duty during the opening hours of the setting.

All applicants should be aware that a huge part of the role is ensuring children are continuously safeguarded from any harm. Any job offers will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, thorough referencing, an induction programme, and 3 months’ probation period. All successful candidates will be given lots of training upon starting their role.

The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provides that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’.
