With over 20 years experience, National Fostering Group is the largest independent children's fostering group in the UK with a community of over 2,500 foster carers. In Northern Ireland, we work with Local Health and Social Care Trusts to provide the highest quality of care for children and young people.
About the Role
We are looking for a Carer Recruitment Officer to help grow our family of foster carers. You will:
- Source and encourage enquiries through local engagement
- Undertake initial visits in the homes of our applicants
- Accurately record applicant information on our database
- Raise awareness of fostering across local communities
- Maintain contact with potential foster carers through the journey from enquiry to approval
- Support the initial training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues
Who are we looking for?
Evidence in providing great customer experience/service or having worked in recruitment would be an advantage. More important are strong communication skills, and a friendly and flexible approach which will be beneficial in enabling you to build rapport with members of the public, current and potential foster carers. You must be proficient in basic excel database management and diary management, as well as demonstrating excellent spoken and written communication. Experience in marketing or working with databases would also support your application.
