3 days p/w Nanny - Family Assistant in Wandsworth, August 2026 Start. Kinder Nannies & Staff is pleased to present a wonderful new permanent nanny position; working for a warm, active young family seeking an experienced nanny to work 3 days per week caring for their son, who will be 8 months old at the start. This is a long-term role with the opportunity to grow alongside the family.

Role Summary:

  • 3 days per week, 7am – 7pm
  • Start: August 2026
  • Sole care of an 8-month-old
  • Occasional overnight babysitting
  • Occasional UK/international travel
  • Long-term, development-focused position

Initially, the role centres on the baby’s routine, development and wellbeing. Over time, the family would welcome light family support such as simple meal preparation and organisational help.

About You:

  • Warm, nurturing and engaging
  • Experienced with babies under 12 months as well as with toddlers and preschoolers (as baby grows)
  • Knowledgeable about milestones, weaning and routines
  • Creative with age-appropriate activities
  • Active, outdoorsy and confident attending classes/outings
  • Flexible, collaborative and proactive
  • Calm, reliable and discreet
  • A confident driver
  • Comfortable around dogs (no pet care)
  • Positive, energetic and interested in healthy family living (this is a strictly non-smoking position)

Requirements:

  • Strong baby experience
  • Excellent references
  • Holds a current Paediatric First Aid (dated within 3 yrs)
  • Childcare qualifications welcome but not essential

Key Duties:

  • Childcare: Loving, attentive, development-focused care
  • Supporting feeding, naps, routines and play
  • Encouraging confidence, curiosity and independence
  • Attending classes, groups and outdoor activities
  • Discussing with parent and proposing fun and educational, age-appropriate activities (indoors & outdoors)

Nursery Duties:

  • Keeping nursery and play areas tidy and clean
  • Baby laundry and clothing organisation
  • Stocking and organising baby essentials

Family Support (as needed - but baby duties priority):

  • Simple, healthy family meals
  • Light family assistant tasks
  • Support during occasional travel (you will be given advance notice)
