We are a lovely German Dutch family living in Fulham, looking for an after school nanny from 7 January. Our children are 10 and 12 years old. We are looking for support with healthy and varied cooking, homework supervision, after school logistics and some light household chores. We need between 10-14 hours weekly, ideally from 4:30/5pm - 7:30/8pm Monday to Thursday + regular babysitting.
Our sons are quite independent and are coming and going to school on a bus. They just need occasional drop offs to and from tennis and friends. If the nanny could drive, that would be great, ideally with her own car, but if she cannot drive or does not have a car that's fine as well.
The job is almost more of a housekeeping role; for me, cooking and keeping the kitchen tidy is as important as making sure our boys are doing their homework, but usually they are quite independent. They need nudging to tidy up a bit and help with sorting laundry into cupboards. The biggest tasks are emptying the dishwasher, cooking, setting the table, and tidying up.
In terms of hours, we really only need someone from 5:00 to 7:30 from Monday to Thursday, which is 10 hours in total, but we can offer more hours.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK (and already living in the UK) and have proof
- Good references for recent and relevant nanny work
- Please note this is a strictly non-smoking position.
- An enhanced DBS will be needed for this job - you can apply through Kinder if you do not already have one.
- Up to date paediatric first aid.
- Live quite close by.
