Looking for a fun, caring, reliable and kind nanny to help look after 2 fun children. Nanny duties include school runs (needs to be able to drive). The family close to Hampstead Heath tube (and also close to Gospel Oak) is looking for a new nanny. They would love to find a German/French speaker to help support the children's learning of German or French in the easiest and most natural way - through daily life.
The children are aged 7 and 10 years and are at school during the day. The family can employ a nanny either full time or part time, offering a contract for 25, 30, 35 or 40 hours to suit the nanny's preference. During school holidays, the children are around during the day and would love to do activities with the nanny. Other times they go away on holiday. The nanny will need to take the children to and from school (30 mins by car). During the day, the nanny can prepare afternoon snacks and their evening meal and engage in fun and interesting activities.
If the nanny is happy to, there are also some PA duties or light grocery shopping to be done. As the children attend school full time, there will be considerable downtime. The family would be very grateful if the nanny could occasionally work later if the (single) parent cannot get home in time or has an evening meeting. The children visit their grandparents in Austria every year and have a close connection. They are motivated to learn the language better to communicate more easily with family. The family also has a home in Spain where they visit regularly. The nanny could be invited to join them, but this is certainly not required. The family has no pets and employs cleaners. This position is live out.
Requirements:
- Fluent in German or French
- Nanny who focuses on children's learning of German or French and actively encourages it
- Fluent English speaker (fluent in German would be a nice to have)
- Nanny must be able to drive
- Experienced nanny, previously worked with school-aged children (up to 11 years of age)
- Up to date Enhanced DBS (on the DBS update service)
- Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Right to work in the UK (this requires a digital ID check £3.50 - legal requirement)
- Live in London - commutable distance to Hampstead Heath tube
- Good references for recent and relevant nanny work
Please note this is a strictly non-smoking position.
