A lovely family based in Notting Hill is looking for an experienced and reliable House Manager / Mother’s Help to join them as soon as possible. This is a hybrid position for someone who enjoys being involved in many aspects of a busy household and is happy to take on a varied role helping to keep everything running smoothly.
The family has three children aged 15, 13 and 9. The two older children attend boarding school, so the role is not focused on traditional nanny duties, but rather providing general support to the household and assisting the mother where needed. The family had a long time nanny; however, they still value having someone dependable around the home to help with the day-to-day organisation and running of things.
This position involves ensuring the home is well organised and running efficiently. Tasks may include:
- Keeping cupboards stocked
- Helping maintain tidy living spaces
- Setting tables
- Running errands such as post office returns or shopping
- Assisting with general household organisation
The family already employs cleaners/housekeepers, so there is no expectation of deep cleaning. Instead, the role focuses on overseeing the household and supporting wherever needed and organising the household staff already and planning ahead. There will also be cooking for the family, along with occasional babysitting.
The role includes walking and occasionally looking after the family’s two friendly Labradors, as well as occasional house sitting when the family is away. From time to time the family may require some weekend help, particularly when the children are home from school. Any additional time worked will be given back in lieu.
The family values flexibility and takes a relaxed approach to working hours. When everything that needs doing is completed, you are free to finish for the day; however, they do require someone who is proactive, reliable and takes pride in getting things done properly and flexibly.
They are looking for someone experienced in HNW private households who is organised, trustworthy and happy to take on a mix of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be someone who naturally notices what needs doing and enjoys helping a home run smoothly while fitting comfortably into family life.
